Jon Kabat-Zinn: Somewhere deep within us resides a profoundly healthy and trustworthy core, and our intuitions, as deep resonances of the actuality of the present moment, are worthy of our trust.

Joseph Campbell: Follow your bliss, and the universe will open doors where there were only walls.

Shakti Gawain: To whatever degree you listen to and follow your intuition, you become a creative channel for the higher power of the universe.

Trust is part of me and mother nature -2
Trust is part of me and mother nature

Breathing happens – I let each breath go with the trust and faith that the next one will come – the cycle continues. I trust my physical intelligence – my stomach metabolizes food, my heart pumps blood to every part of my body, my lungs bring oxygen to my body cells, my eyes help me see, my ears help me hear, my skin helps me feel with touch, my nose helps me smell, and my tongue or mouth allows me to taste – I don’t worry, stress, or concern about any of it. If I can trust my body’s natural wisdom to support life, why should my mind and heart be any different?

Embracing unfolding moments with the curiosity, openness, and vulnerability of a childaccepting life as it passes through me – can challenge my ego, which prefers to hold on to what is old and familiar. When I see reality as it is, it can sink in and weigh on my mind and heart, for there is no escape route from the “land” of virtual stories. Can I witness all of this with a peaceful heart?

The poet Pablo Neruda writes, “You can pick all the flowers, but you can’t stop the spring.” In the same way, no matter how much my ego, fear, worries, and anxieties dominate and disconnect me from my peaceful core, my consciousness wants to wake up and heal me from within. Life wants to renew and express itself. Plants germinate and grow even from thin cracks in city walls or concrete footways.

Can I let life be as it is? Only by letting things be do I see reality clearly and truly feel alive and joyful.

What are your thoughts?
