We drove from Reno to Lake Tahoe through Virginia and Carson cities. As we stopped to get first glimpses of Lake Tahoe from a higher elevation on the east, the vastness of the lake and gentle ripples on the surface felt so relaxing and peaceful. There was a vibrant green color on the water close to the shore, probably from the reflection of the green vegetation.
We went down hiking towards Skunk Harbor. After about half a mile, it opened up perspective to see the lake with trees and stone cliffs cladding the “picture frame.”
We went up to the Incline Village. I lay on an extended bench and closed my eyes. The gentle breeze on my face, hands, and legs felt rejuvenating as I tuned into my body sensations. I opened my eyes, and the view of pine trees rising in the sky served my eyes quite a treat!
While resuming the drive down south on the same side, we captured the sun setting over the mountains on the west side of the lake. The crispness and vibrant colors on the horizon put me in vacation mode.
