The mountains are green right now, thanks to the rain. The unusual snow at elevations as low as 1000 feet created stunning views close to home.
The Santiago Oaks mountains provide a unique opportunity to lose yourself in nature quickly. While seeing all the brown mountains in the summer is fun, the green hills with snow-covered mountains in the backdrop are spectacular and a remarkable shift in the experience.
